Here is another line drawn in the sand. Moses sent out 12 spies. 10 came back with a bad report. Two had a good report. All 12 saw the same thing. Yet 10 focused only on the giants through their own projected fears. Joshua and Caleb proclaimed God’s ability.
We capture Caleb’s words in Numbers 14:9. It says, “Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”
Joshua gave the children of Israel two choices. He drew the line in the sand and stepped over. Joshua 24 15 says, “…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” When we are faced with impossibilities, our flesh will scream to be served.
