I know that I have been taught the revelation in this verse and verse 13 are when He comes again to take us home. However, it can also be applied to our trials. Verse 13 says, “…rest your hope fully on the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
When the Lord comes for us, all will be revealed. Now we look through a cloudy mirror. 1 Corinthians 13:12. We are flooded with grace when He reveals Himself to us IN our present trial. Grace is empowerment to endure.
The Greek words in 1 Peter 1:7 and 13 are the same: an unveiling, uncovering, revealing, from the root word disclosure. John 14:21 says, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Manifest means to reveal.
