Walking In His Light~Part Two

Post flood, Noah got drunk. His son Shem saw his nakedness and told his two brothers. Genesis 9:23 says, “But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father’s nakedness.”

That is another great picture of what it means to walk in the light. We do not expose others’ sins to those around us. Proverbs 17:9 says, “He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends.”

James 5:16 says, “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” If you are struggling with a hidden sin, seek out a believer that is walking in the light.

Galatians 6:1 is for us. It says, “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness…” Accountability is a huge key to being a victorious overcomer.
