John 16:33 says, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus overcame for us through His death on the cross.

We are called to be overcomer’s. 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” Are you adding to your faith?

Faith was a seed gift at salvation. Romans 12:3 says, “…as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 10:17 says that our faith is increased through hearing His word. 2 Peter 1:5-7 is a list of things we are to add to our faith: virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, love.

Colossians 2:7 says, “Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Are you diligently making personal applications from Scripture? Psalm 119:11. His hidden word keeps us from sinning.
