I am so grateful we have a solid foundation that cannot be shaken. Here is one of my favorite verses about the Lord’s faithfulness.
2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” Here is another securing verse. Titus 1:2 says, “In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.”
From the above two verses we stand when all is shaking around us. Our hope is in Him, not our circumstances. He never changes, but our life-situations are constantly changing.
Mark 11:22 says, “…Have faith in God.” Being overwhelmed is an aspect of being shaken. Psalm 61:1-4 is solid ground. Here is a verse in a new song. I often sing it because it reminds me to look up, away from my circumstances, to Him alone.
Nothing can overtake me when I hide in You. Nothing can overwhelm me when I look to You. I set my eyes on You and I gaze into Your face. I bask in the love of Your eyes full of grace.
Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing with be impossible.” I often review Romans 4:19. Abraham did not consider, or think about the fact staring him in the face: his body was dead, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. Verse 21 is the reason. It says, “And being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
I love to picture myself inside the Lord as my Rock: impenetrable, unshakable, immovable, steadfast, secure, and All Powerful. Nothing can touch us that He does not allow. Our confidence is in Him who has begun His good work in us. He will complete it.
