Are We Being Squeezed? Part Two

Think about this: we believers, as square pegs, are constantly being pressed, squeezed, pushed into the round hole of the world system. It is CLEAR that we do not fit! Yet, if we are not intentional in our thoughts, our square peg begins to smooth out.

When you feel squeezed, rejoice! Let it be a constant reminder that this is not our home. We are not designed to fit in a circle. However, we the peg, are a living testimony to proclaim the message of eternal life, freedom from sin’s grip, and a relationship with a Living Savior.

All flesh reacts when it gets squeezed. Impatience, anger, violence, lashing out with hate-filled words, etc. are not to be part of our peg-life. 1 Peter 2:1 says, “Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking.”

Did you ever consider that complaining is evil speaking? All words come first from thoughts. Matthew 15:18-19 says, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed EVIL thoughts…”

Negative dialogues in your mind will become negative words out of your mouth. It all starts with our thoughts which come from what we believe about a situation. If we believe that God is in control, that nothing is impossible for Him, and He is over all, our thoughts and actions will reflect that belief. That heart-belief will annihilate all evil thoughts before they can form.

We defile our testimony as a peg to the circles in our lives. How can we make a difference when we begin to fit into their mold? Here is our peg-stance. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 says, “And a servant of the Lord must NOT quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”
