It takes humility to walk in the fear of the Lord. Pride cannot co-exist with a fulfilling relationship with the Lord. Not fulfilled? How high is your pride level?
Psalm 145:19 says, “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.”
Jeremiah 31:14 says, “I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the Lord.”
2 Thessalonians 1:11 says, “Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power.”
Psalm 34:8-14 is a marvelous set of verses to memorize. I’m typing each verse separately so you can compare them to your personal relationship. I encourage you to highlight your deficient areas.
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.
The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Who is the man who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”
Here is a great picture of one who is fulfilled in their relationship with the Lord. Ephesians 3:19 Amplified says, “(That you may really come) to know (practically, through experience for yourselves) the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge (without experience); that you may be filled (though all your being unto all the fullness of God (may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself)!”
