Do You Need Wisdom? Part Two

This is how we discern what is true wisdom. James 3:17 says, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.”

Proverbs 1:5 says, “A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.” Proverbs 9:9 says, “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.”

One who seeks wisdom has a teachable spirit. They come with no agenda of their own. Their heart is open to receive. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” We have to come with open hands and a submitted heart. Otherwise our  own fleshly agenda will interpret incorrectly. James 1:14.
