We have a great visual of what it means to be hidden by the Lord. Moses asked to see God’s glory. Exodus 33:20 says that no man can see His face and live. Verse 21 says, “…Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.”
As God’s glory was to pass by, verse 22 says, “…I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with My hand while I pass by.” Can you picture it? Moses was standing on the rock. The Lord picked him up and put him inside an opening in the rock.
I love David’s words. Bask in them for a moment. Psalm 18:1-2 says, “ will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Strength. Rock. Fortress. Deliverer. Shield. Salvation. Stronghold. I encourage you to make them your words of affirmation. They describe who the Lord is at all times. He never changes.
